Kilk × @micahfinds Manila Sunset Fountain Pen

Streaks of lavender, orange, and pink paint the sky, as the sun sets over the Philippine archipelago. The dark purple waters glistening as the city lights wake. The streets remain packed in the bustling metro. These late hours are claimed by family dinners, drinks and pulutan (finger food) with your colleagues and friends, jamming sessions with bandmates, singing or screaming your heart out at karaoke, a round of online gaming to destress, shopping and waiting out the heavy traffic at the nearest mall, and even coffee dates no matter how close it is to bedtime. There is a frenzy, not a settling down. A shaking of our fists to the skies. And underneath our breaths, the usual prayers and blessings, "ingat pag-uwi" (safe travels home), "kumain ka na ba?" (have you eaten?), "makakaraos din tayo" (we will get by).

This pen is an ode to my city, and the multitude of stories and heartbeats that reside within it.
